Elijah was the son of Jehu Harlan, born 1746, died Berkeley County, Virginia, 23 February 1806, age 60 years, and Sarah Harlan, born in 1746, died in Berkeley County, in 1805. A Maury County, Tennessee, deed made 7 December 1835, from McCabe and Allen to John R. Elliott, mentions that the lot being sold in Mt. Pleasant, adjoined Main Street, John M.
