     718.       ii.   Thomas Carr Forrest, Jr., born 19 January 1896, Forreston, Ellis County, Texas, died 22 December 1968, Dallas, Tex as.[2767] He married 26 April 1921, Ellis County, to Ruth Alice Pickett,[2768] died 4 February 1979, Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.[2769]

Two children: Barbara Penn Forrest, born 29 October 1924, married in October 1943, to Charles E. Washburn; and Ernestine Forrest, born 23 November 1926, married in 1946, to Elmer F. McClain.

Dallas Morning News, 23 December 1968: T. Carr Forrest, 72, of 6131 Northaven Road, board chairman of Forrest & Cotton, Inc., and a consulting engineer for more than forty-six years. He was a native of Forreston, Ellis County. He graduated from Trinity University and Texas A & M. He was a former president of the National Society of Professional Engineers. Carr served in World War I. Survivors: his wife, and two daughters, Mrs. E. F. McClain, Fort Worth, and Mrs. C. E. Washburn, Dallas, and five grandchildren.[2770]
